Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Architect for a short-term contract focused on developing robust data solutions. In this remote role, the contractor will leverage their expertise in enterprise data architecture to design, implement, and govern advanced data platforms. Collaborating with various stakeholders, the Data Architect will drive data transformation initiatives to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver enterprise data platforms, data warehouses/lakehouses, and ETL/ELT processes.
- Implement APIs, data pipelines, and cloud integration solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and metadata management across the organization.
- Lead the development of strategic technology roadmaps for data architecture initiatives.
- Evaluate and select enterprise data, analytics, integration, and governance platforms.
- Support the adoption of AI-enabled data platforms and emerging data technologies.
Requirements
- Expertise in enterprise data and analytics architecture, including data modelling and governance.
- Significant experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, and enterprise data governance tools.
- Strong understanding of AI technologies, including Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Proven track record in delivering large-scale cloud data transformation projects using Microsoft Azure and Snowflake.
- Professional certifications in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, or related frameworks are desirable.
- Experience in leading data strategy and governance initiatives within complex organizations.
