Overview
This role of Data Architect involves supporting the design and delivery of a modern data platform for a major public sector programme in the UK. The successful contractor will collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to shape the organization’s data architecture while ensuring data governance and adherence to documentation standards.
Responsibilities
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Shape and evolve the organization’s data architecture.
- Support Data Engineers with Azure and Databricks data flows.
- Ensure strong data governance, documentation, and standards.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Architect in enterprise environments.
- Expertise in Azure, Databricks, and Lakehouse architecture.
- Strong knowledge in data modeling and data governance.
- Experience in delivery-focused, multi-team environments.
- Familiarity with UK Public Sector projects is desirable but not essential.
