Overview
The Senior Data Consultant will work on a six-month contract, primarily focusing on supporting the banking client in the development and delivery of enterprise-grade data products. This role requires collaboration with data engineers, architects, and governance teams to translate business requirements into high-quality data assets while ensuring strong data quality and adherence to governance standards. The Consultant will utilize their extensive experience to lead mapping activities and facilitate the successful release of data products into production.
Responsibilities
- Lead source-to-target mapping activities for data projects.
- Define, document, and maintain data quality rules in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into reusable data assets and frameworks.
- Support the release of data products into production environments.
- Collaborate with data engineers and architects to enhance data quality controls.
- Provide expertise on data quality concepts and governance practices.
- Utilize strong SQL and/or advanced Excel skills to analyze data.
- Contribute to projects involving API-backed data products or Lakehouse architecture.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience working with data platforms and analytics solutions.
- Strong understanding of data quality concepts, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Proven experience with source-to-target mapping processes.
- Hands-on expertise in SQL and/or advanced Excel skills.
- Experience in supporting the release of data products into production.
- Banking industry experience preferred.
- Familiarity with API-backed data products or Lakehouse architecture is a plus.
- Understanding of data governance operating models and stewardship frameworks is an advantage.
