Overview
The Data Engineer will play an instrumental role in enhancing the Data Analytics & AI capabilities of a forward-thinking organization. Working primarily with Snowflake, the contractor will design, build, and optimize data pipelines while collaborating with analytics and business teams to deliver effective data solutions. This position allows the opportunity to shape and develop the organization's data engineering function in a modern, cloud-based environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable data pipelines and models.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of a Snowflake-based data platform.
- Enable high-quality data for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives.
- Drive best practices in data engineering including CI/CD and governance.
- Collaborate with analytics and business teams to deliver impactful data solutions.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Snowflake with end-to-end experience.
- Experience building cloud-based data platforms.
- Solid understanding of data modeling and governance.
- Familiarity with Python and SQL.
- Experience with dbt, AWS, and data ingestion tools (e.g., Airbyte, Fivetran).
- Understanding of reporting tools such as Power BI.
