Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to focus on data analysis and engineering, working primarily with advanced SQL and cloud-based solutions. This role involves collaborating with a team to design and implement large-scale data warehousing solutions and manage data pipelines on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using tools such as DBT. The position requires two days in the office per week in West London and is initially offered as a 3 to 6 month contract outside of IR35 regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-performance SQL queries for data transformation and optimisation.
- Design and implement cloud-based ETL solutions and data warehousing systems.
- Utilise Google Cloud Platform for data management and processing tasks.
- Build and manage data pipelines using DBT.
- Create dimensional models for complex datasets.
- Understand and apply snowflake and lake house architectures in data solutions.
Requirements
- Proven expertise in advanced SQL for data analysis and transformation.
- Experience with cloud-based ETL and data warehousing solutions.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of DBT (Data Build Tool) for pipeline management.
- Understanding of data modelling and flow concepts.
- Experience with snowflake and lake house architectures.
