Contract | Data Engineer | Fintech | Remote (UK-based) We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a rapidly growing fintech on a contract basis. This is a hands-on role building and maintaining robust data pipelines that power credit decisioning, risk modelling, and portfolio analytics. You’ll work closely with data science, product, and credit teams to deliver reliable, production-ready datasets that help innovate lending solutions. What You’ll Do Build and maintain data pipelines for credit and financial analytics. Ingest and process data from transaction systems, credit bureaus, and open banking APIs. Ensure data quality, accuracy, and reliability with automated checks and validation routines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver fit-for-purpose data solutions. Monitor and optimise data infrastructure for performance and scalability. What You’ll Bring 2+ years as a Data Engineer, ideally in fintech, UK consumer lending, or financial services. Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and tools like Snowflake, dbt, Dagster, or similar. Comfortable with transactional, bureau, and open banking data. Experience delivering production-ready datasets in a regulated environment. Enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
