Overview
This role is for a Data Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support and evolve a dynamic data platform at a fast-growing business. The contractor will manage data pipelines, work closely with large datasets, and support various business teams with their data needs, primarily involving Google Analytics and reporting tools. This is a hands-on position requiring collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize data pipelines and workflows within Google Cloud Platform.
- Work extensively with BigQuery to handle large-scale datasets.
- Integrate and manage data from Google Analytics and Google Ad Manager.
- Support reporting and dashboarding initiatives across the business using Domo.
- Handle both business-as-usual (BAU) data operations and project-based delivery.
- Contribute to the rebuilding and automation improvements of the data stack.
- Drive efficiencies and improvements, including AI-driven processes.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly BigQuery.
- Proven ability to build and manage scalable data pipelines and data flows.
- Experience with Google Analytics and marketing/ad data sources.
- Comfortable supporting reporting and dashboarding tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
- Strong prioritization skills across BAU and project work.
- Experience in media, publishing, or direct-to-consumer environments is highly beneficial.
