Data Engineer

Overview

This position is for a Data Engineer on a 12-month, full-time contract focused on serving a Defence SME. The role requires active MoD DV clearance and entails working with multidisciplinary teams, including military users, to develop and manage data integrations and applications using Palantir Foundry. The contractor will leverage their technical expertise to facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders while delivering solutions based on data structures and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders to facilitate discussions.
• Build clean, reliable, and compliant data pipelines using Palantir Foundry and Python.
• Design and manage ontologies to structure data effectively in Foundry.
• Create full-stack applications using Foundry tools for intuitive workflows.

Requirements

• Active MoD DV clearance.
• Experience with Palantir Foundry and building applications in it.
• Solid engineering background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Physics, or Data Science.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript or similar languages.
