Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer for a fully remote contract position focusing on a dynamic client delivery programme. The contractor will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective data solutions, engaging in multiple projects and contributing to end-to-end delivery while utilizing SQL and Python for data processing. This role offers the opportunity for ownership and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver data solutions across various client projects.
- Engage directly with stakeholders to understand requirements and manage expectations.
- Write efficient SQL and Python scripts to query, transform, and investigate data.
- Create database views to support data analysis and debugging.
- Integrate data from APIs and webhooks as needed.
- Work with modern cloud data platforms, including Snowflake and AWS.
- Collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams to keep projects on track.
Requirements
- Proven commercial experience as a Data Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Experience in direct stakeholder engagement and managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to investigate data issues and provide support to business users.
- Comfortable taking ownership of tasks and working autonomously.
- Experience with Snowflake (preferred) and exposure to AWS (RDS), APIs, or webhooks would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with DBT, Terraform, or container technologies is a plus.
- Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset with flexibility in using existing tools and processes.
