Overview
The Contract Data Engineering Manager will play a vital role in supporting a Private Equity organization during a significant AI and Data Transformation initiative. Focused on leadership and collaboration, this position involves working closely with the VP of Data to facilitate project delivery while guiding and mentoring data engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data engineering complemented by leadership experience, ensuring objectives are met effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor data engineering teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Collaborate with the VP of Data to align engineering activities with organizational goals.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise in data engineering practices.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Assess and enhance data engineering processes and workflows.
- Support and challenge team members as necessary to uphold standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer at a senior level.
- Significant experience in a leadership role with team management responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Azure; familiarity with AWS or GCP is acceptable.
- Strong understanding of data engineering best practices.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Technical expertise in relevant data engineering tools and technologies.
