Overview
The Data Migration Specialist will play a crucial role in leading and executing data migrations from legacy systems within a prominent Media industry client organization. This contract position emphasizes both hands-on data development and strategic management, requiring collaboration with business leaders, testing teams, and the Integration Team to ensure alignment with overall integration objectives and business goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute data migrations from legacy systems.
- Develop standardized ETL packages using Azure Data Factory.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity throughout the migration process.
- Establish robust processes and documentation for consistency across technology.
- Collaborate closely with functional and business leads, testing teams, and the Integration Team.
- Align data migration activities with overall integration strategies and business objectives.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in ETL development using SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Synapse Pipelines.
- Proven experience in legacy data migration and ERP implementations, including at least two full life cycle implementations.
- Strong SQL and SSIS experience.
- Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI and business intelligence dashboards is a plus.
- Familiarity with integration tools like AIS and SAP BTP is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Azure Synapse, Data Lakes, Data Warehouse, SQL Server, and Databricks is desirable.
