Overview
The interim Data Privacy Consultant will support a FTSE250 organization in enhancing their data privacy standards and ensuring compliance with international data protection regulations. The consultant will work primarily on embedding privacy principles into IT projects and conducting necessary assessments to align organizational practices with regulations in UK, USA, and Australia. This role is outcomes-focused and requires collaboration with various stakeholders to drive improvements in data privacy maturity.
Responsibilities
- Assess and uplift data privacy practices in line with UK GDPR and international laws.
- Embed Privacy by Design principles into IT projects, including CRM and ERP systems.
- Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and Legitimate Interest Assessments (LIAs) as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance across global entities.
- Provide expert advice on data protection compliance requirements and best practices.
- Monitor and report on progress towards data privacy maturity goals.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Privacy Consultant, particularly with UK GDPR and international data protection laws.
- Strong expertise in implementing Privacy by Design in IT project frameworks.
- Experience using data protection templates for DPIAs and LIAs.
- Familiarity with CRM (Dynamics) and ERP (SAP) systems.
- Demonstrable ability to work in an outcomes-based project environment.
- Experience working with FTSE250 or similar organizations is a plus.
