Overview
The Data Science Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the pricing strategy within a dynamic and data-driven organization. This hands-on position involves managing a team of Data Science and Pricing specialists, working collaboratively with commercial stakeholders to implement a best-in-class pricing engine. The contractor will be responsible for overseeing the entire pricing product lifecycle, focusing on the development of innovative pricing models to support growth in both UK and US markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 3 Data Science and Pricing specialists across the UK and US.
- Own the full pricing product lifecycle, including modelling, testing, deployment, and optimisation.
- Enhance existing pricing algorithms and establish best practices across multiple markets.
- Collaborate with Data Platform and Engineering teams to deploy pricing models.
- Work directly with senior commercial leadership to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
- Adapt to a fast-paced, high-change environment focused on experimentation and agility.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in Data Science, particularly with Python.
- Previous experience managing Data Science or Pricing teams.
- Proven track record in building, optimising, and operationalising pricing models.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence non-technical stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a capability to navigate ambiguity and solve end-to-end problems.
- Customer-focused approach with a commercial perspective in decision-making.
