Data Scientist

Overview

I'm currently working with a client in the insurance sector based in London. They're building a new team and looking for a contract Data scientist. What you’ll be doing: Develop AI-driven solutions for underwriting and portfolio analysis. Collaborate cross-functionally with product, underwriting and engineering teams. Contribute to the creation of a digital high net worth insurance offering. Required skillset: 5+ years professional experience in Data science related roles Insurance industry exposure (must have) Python for traditional data science Generative AI experience (Gemini preferred) Cloud platforms: Azure and/or GCP Agile methodology familiarity Strong communication and stakeholder engagement Contract length - 6 months (Possibility for extension) Location - London (hybrid - 2 days in office requirement) Daily rate - £400 (outside IR35) Sponsorship is not available for this role

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-driven solutions for underwriting and portfolio analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in data science roles.
• Exposure to the insurance industry is essential.
• Proficiency in Python for traditional data science.
• Experience with generative AI, preferably Gemini.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or GCP.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies is desired.
• Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
