Overview
We are seeking a Freelance Lead Data Scientist to contribute to a high-impact project focused on optimizing a model that predicts the conversion rate of marketing images. The contractor will work collaboratively with analytics and marketing teams to refine existing technology and ensure the final product is both usable and business-ready. This role is remote, with potential on-site collaboration in the initial phase, and comes with strong growth opportunities for future projects.
Responsibilities
- Enhance or rebuild an existing multimodal image-to-text model using CLIP and Phi.
- Apply SHAP or similar methods to explain factors driving conversion rates.
- Extend an interactive Python Dash web app for visualizing image predictions.
- Collaborate with analytics and marketing teams to refine usability and interpretability of tools.
- Optimize models and refine web applications focusing on ease of use.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data science and machine learning with a strong background in computer vision.
- Strong coding skills in Python, with experience in building and deploying end-to-end models.
- Familiarity with model explainability techniques such as SHAP or LIME.
- Experience working with multimodal data (images and text) preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and creative environment with a self-starting attitude.
