Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join a high-profile programme delivered for a global consulting organisation. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary data team, developing predictive models and generating actionable business insights to support data-driven decision-making in transformation initiatives. This fully remote role involves collaboration with engineers and analysts and offers opportunities for occasional travel to the London office.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test and deploy machine learning and statistical models to address business challenges.
- Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends and opportunities.
- Build predictive and prescriptive analytics solutions that generate measurable business value.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, business analysts, and stakeholders.
- Design and implement data science methodologies and model validation approaches.
- Create visualisations and reports that effectively communicate findings to diverse audiences.
- Support the operationalisation and monitoring of machine learning models.
- Participate in Agile delivery teams and sprint ceremonies as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Scientist in enterprise or consulting environments.
- Strong commercial experience with Python and relevant data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, SciPy, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Experience building and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of statistical modelling, predictive analytics, classification and regression techniques.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with large datasets.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience with MLOps principles and model deployment pipelines.
- Experience in data visualisation using tools like Power BI, Tableau or Python libraries.
