Overview
The Data Solution Architect will play a vital role in establishing and managing enterprise data architecture across a diverse technical landscape. Working collaboratively with business stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams, the contractor will design and implement strategic data solutions that enhance data quality, governance, and integration capabilities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the enterprise data model across multiple systems.
- Design scalable data solutions that support strategic business objectives.
- Create high-level designs for data lake integration and data management solutions.
- Improve data quality, governance, and assurance across operational and reporting platforms.
- Evaluate architecture options and recommend best-fit solutions to influence technical direction.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of high-level designs.
- Shape future roadmaps and modernize an evolving technology estate.
- Work closely with senior technical and business stakeholders to enhance enterprise-wide data capabilities.
Requirements
- Experience in Data Solution Architecture or Solution Architecture with a focus on data.
- Proven ability to design enterprise data models and entity relationships.
- Familiarity with Azure data technologies such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong understanding of SQL and database design principles.
- Experience with data quality, governance, and assurance practices.
- Knowledge of integration patterns and data movement between enterprise systems.
- Capability to produce High-Level Designs and support technical delivery.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, or data lake architectures is advantageous.
