Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse Developer for an initial 12-month contract role. This position, primarily remote with occasional travel to Leatherhead, will focus on developing, supporting, and evolving a critical on-premise ‘common data environment’ (CDE). The developer will collaborate closely with various technical teams to ensure effective data integration and reporting solutions, enhancing analytics capabilities within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and support the common data environment by designing and building data warehouses.
- Work closely with the technical teams to gather and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Create, document, and implement ETL procedures to facilitate data movement.
- Build and unit test paginated reports and dashboards for various organizational needs.
- Assist in project management tasks related to effort estimation and progress reporting.
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Management Information leads to establish operating models.
- Support the Product Owner in developing and implementing strategic technical product layers.
Requirements
- Proven experience in developing and supporting multi-source SQL data warehouses in an on-premise setting.
- Deep technical knowledge of the entire Microsoft Stack, including SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
- Experience with ETL processes and data modeling to drive management information outcomes.
- Familiarity with building Data Lakehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Ability to produce clear and maintainable technical documentation.
- Demonstrated capability to manage technical issues from identification to resolution in a second-line support role.
- Eligible to apply for BPSS or CTC security clearance, with a full, clean driving license.
- Experience working in a project environment, particularly with public sector clients, is desirable.
