Overview
The Delivery Manager will be responsible for leading complex change initiatives and delivering significant business value within a large financial services organization. This role involves managing multi-million-pound budgets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure projects align with business goals. The Delivery Manager will drive innovative solutions and overcome challenges throughout the change lifecycle, working closely with stakeholders to guarantee project success.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage delivery of priority business outcomes.
- Partner with sponsors and business product owners to define and prioritize business goals and measures of success for projects.
- Develop and communicate business cases, project plans, benefits plans, and cost forecasts.
- Drive project execution to meet business priorities while proactively managing delivery risks and dependencies.
- Facilitate smooth transitions of changes to operational use and actively manage stakeholder engagement.
- Establish effective project delivery structures and ensure accountability across teams.
- Identify and manage resources capacity and capability for each project.
- Build and lead a results-driven project delivery team, fostering a proactive learning culture.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of project and change management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Proven track record in change delivery management in an agile, complex commercial environment.
- Experience with delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban.
- At least two years of experience in the Financial Services sector, preferably in Insurance and Pensions.
- Strong understanding of the Financial Services control environment.
- Extensive delivery management experience in multi-functional projects and programs, typically 8-10 years plus.
