Overview
The Senior Delivery Manager will lead a high-profile discovery engagement for a central government data programme on behalf of a digital delivery consultancy. This role involves managing client relationships, coordinating a small team of associates, and overseeing the delivery of the programme while ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in stakeholder engagement and programme delivery in a complex government environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day client engagement with a central government department.
- Manage the delivery plan, risks, and dependencies for a four to five month discovery programme.
- Coordinate a small, senior associate team focusing on user research, service design, and technical architecture.
- Report to the Account Manager and ensure quality and delivery standards are maintained.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and manage access within a complex internal government environment.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a Delivery Manager or Programme Manager on government digital programmes, ideally within central government.
- Proven ability to operate as the primary client-facing lead on a statement of work engagement.
- Strong risk management and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with discovery-phase programmes and GDS service standards.
- SC clearance is advantageous; BPSS minimum required.
- Availability from September 2026; work is outside IR35.
