Overview
We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to oversee the delivery of data-driven projects in a remote role focused on a UK public sector initiative. In this strategic change programme, you will leverage your deep understanding of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience with data platforms like Databricks to enable cross-functional teams to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your leadership will ensure high-quality delivery, promote continuous improvement practices, and build strong relationships with stakeholders across various disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of data-driven projects in a Databricks environment.
- Champion Agile and Lean practices to enhance continuous improvement.
- Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and issues to maintain momentum.
- Ensure governance and quality management to achieve value for money.
- Build relationships with stakeholders and set clear expectations.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Data Engineers, QA, BAs, and other teams.
- Guide teams through the delivery lifecycle phases and optimize processes.
- Contribute to the Delivery Management Community of Practice.
Requirements
- Strong Agile delivery experience.
- Proven experience managing multiple Data projects, including Databricks or similar platforms.
- Experience delivering data or digital products in multi-disciplinary teams.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience managing budgets, suppliers, risks, and dependencies.
- Strong planning, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and build high-performing teams.
- Experience in the UK public sector or familiarity with government digital standards is desirable.
