Overview
The Senior Delivery Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for a central government data programme within a specialist digital delivery consultancy. This role involves overseeing client engagement, managing a delivery plan, and coordinating a team of senior associates to ensure successful outcomes aligned with government standards. The position is particularly focused on facilitating stakeholder interactions and ensuring adherence to quality and delivery expectations throughout the discovery phase.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day client engagement with a central government department.
- Manage the delivery plan, including risks and dependencies, across a four to five month discovery programme.
- Coordinate a small team of senior associates across user research, service design, and technical architecture workstreams.
- Report to the Account Manager and maintain quality and delivery standards.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and manage access across a complex internal government environment.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience as a Delivery Manager or Programme Manager on government digital programmes, preferably at central government level.
- Proven ability to operate as the primary client-facing lead on a Statement of Work (SOW) engagement.
- Strong risk management and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with discovery-phase programmes and GDS service standards.
- SC clearance is an advantage, with BPSS as a minimum requirement.
- Available from September 2026, outside of IR35.
