Overview
We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to join our team on an initial 3-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing IT support to users, focusing on Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and various desktop and cloud technologies. This role involves collaborating with a dynamic IT support team and includes both 1st and 2nd line support tasks, while also addressing 3rd line issues as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1st and 2nd line desktop support to end users, with occasional involvement in 3rd line issues.
- Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 hardware and software issues.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Manage users, groups, and permissions within Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Configure and support laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
- Perform hardware builds, deployments, and device replacements.
- Support printers, peripherals, and meeting room technology.
- Manage tickets through the IT Service Management system, ensuring SLA targets are met.
Requirements
- Proven commercial experience in a Desktop Support or IT Support role.
- Strong Microsoft 365 administration and user support experience.
- Expertise in Windows 10/11 support.
- Experience with Entra ID (Azure Active Directory).
- Active Directory user administration knowledge.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and device management.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online.
- Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
