Overview
The role of the AWS Serverless Developer involves designing, developing, and supporting cloud-native applications within a hybrid work environment. The contractor will engage with product owners and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions while utilizing modern technologies such as AWS Lambda and Node.js. This position also emphasizes collaboration and continuous improvement practices within the team, making it essential for the contractor to thrive in an Agile setting.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AWS serverless applications using modern cloud-native technologies.
- Build scalable microservices using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
- Develop backend services with TypeScript and Node.js in an Agile environment.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to deliver solutions.
- Write clean, well-tested code following TDD and best practices.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code solutions using AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
- Participate in pair programming and code reviews.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Software Engineer in Agile environments.
- Proven experience with AWS serverless applications (Lambda, API Gateway, S3).
- Strong backend development skills in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (AWS CDK or CloudFormation).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience in TDD and collaborative engineering practices.
- Ability to work independently in complex environments.
