Overview
We are seeking an experienced Interim DevOps Engineer for an initial 3-month contract in a hybrid role. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and enhancing cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes platforms while collaborating closely with a dynamic engineering team. This position primarily supports remote work with occasional travel to the Newcastle HQ as required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and improve AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Support and optimize Kubernetes workloads and container platforms.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation practices.
- Enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Monitor platform health, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver resilient, scalable solutions.
- Support cloud infrastructure and broader IT environments where necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a DevOps or Platform Engineering role.
- Strong AWS infrastructure expertise.
- Commercial Kubernetes experience.
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or OpenTofu preferred).
- Docker and containerization expertise.
- Solid Linux administration skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting abilities and strong communication skills.
