Overview
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to support critical systems for a high-profile financial services client. In this role, you will work primarily remotely, and you will be responsible for troubleshooting, incident management, and ensuring system stability and performance across various environments, including Linux, Windows, and cloud platforms. You will collaborate with stakeholders and customers to address complex technical issues and enhance system security.
Responsibilities
- Support critical systems by providing technical assistance and troubleshooting.
- Lead incident response efforts to resolve complex technical issues.
- Monitor system performance and conduct system maintenance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to ensure optimal system functionality.
- Utilize knowledge of Linux, Windows, and cloud environments to manage systems effectively.
- Implement automation and scripting solutions using tools like Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Leverage monitoring tools to track system health and performance.
- Provide insights into potential improvements in system architecture and processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in technical support or system administration.
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as New Relic or Kibana.
- Excellent troubleshooting and incident management skills.
- Experience in financial services or trading environments is preferred.
- Exposure to CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform, or Ansible is a plus.
