Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps / Platform Engineer on a contract basis to enhance the delivery platform for a large regulated organization in the UK. The contractor will be responsible for managing and improving OpenShift and Kubernetes environments on AWS, ensuring efficient CI/CD processes, and maintaining robust security practices. This role involves collaboration with various teams and requires a proactive approach to automating and optimizing deployment pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Run and enhance OpenShift and Kubernetes environments on AWS.
- Own and manage CI/CD processes using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Ensure security and dependencies are maintained with Snyk and Renovate.
- Manage feature delivery using LaunchDarkly and monitor using Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Collaborate with teams to implement automation-first practices.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot in daily workflows.
- Deliver improvements in deployment speed and reliability.
Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS services.
- Proven expertise in OpenShift or Kubernetes.
- Extensive CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Hands-on knowledge of observability tools like Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Security-first mindset with a focus on automation.
- Experience using AI-assisted tools in development.
- Familiarity with LaunchDarkly, Renovate, Snyk, and financial services is a plus.
