Overview
We are looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to manage and enhance our delivery platform for a large regulated organization in the UK. This role will focus on running OpenShift and Kubernetes environments on AWS while ensuring smooth and secure deployments. The contractor will collaborate closely with teams to streamline CI/CD processes and enhance system observability, making use of modern tools in an AI-assisted workflow environment.
Responsibilities
- Run and improve OpenShift and Kubernetes environments on AWS.
- Own CI/CD processes utilizing GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Ensure security and manage dependencies with Snyk and Renovate.
- Oversee feature delivery using LaunchDarkly and monitor systems with Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Collaborate with teams to streamline workflows and enhance deployment practices.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot in daily work.
Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS.
- Proficiency in OpenShift or Kubernetes.
- Extensive CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and ArgoCD.
- Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace.
- Demonstrated focus on security and automation in work methodologies.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools is preferred.
- Bonus experience with LaunchDarkly, Renovate, Snyk, and the financial services sector.
