Overview
The Dynamics 365 Project Operations Functional Consultant will engage with stakeholders to enhance project processes within an existing D365 implementation, focusing on continuous improvement in areas such as project accounting and resource management. The role involves collaboration with a Solution Architect and technical teams, driving project delivery from discovery through to hypercare, while also aligning project management activities with core finance processes.
Responsibilities
- Run discovery and fit gap workshops for project lifecycle processes.
- Produce process maps, business requirement documents, functional design documents, and other deliverables.
- Plan and configure Project Operations or Project Management and Accounting for project structures and resource management.
- Lead functional testing, user acceptance testing, and support cutover activities.
- Align project processes with finance activities including GL, AR, AP, and revenue recognition.
- Maintain documentation of requirements and status updates for stakeholders.
- Engage with project stakeholders to facilitate process changes and integration needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Experience with at least one end-to-end implementation of Project Operations or Project Management and Accounting.
- Strong background in D365 Finance and Operations, particularly finance modules.
- Proven experience in a functional consulting role from discovery to hypercare.
- Hands-on experience with project billing, budgeting, and finance integration.
- Solid documentation, workshop facilitation, and training skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and clear communication capabilities.
