Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in the design, delivery, and construction of major grid-connected power projects for a leading energy storage developer. The contractor will work closely with stakeholders, providing technical leadership across the electrical scope while resolving engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle. This position is an initial 12-month contract, likely to be extended.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across electrical scope for grid-connected power projects.
- Review designs and ensure compliance with grid regulations.
- Specify primary electrical equipment and coordinate technical interfaces.
- Resolve engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support grid compliance activities including G99 and P28 studies.
- Review electrical designs and offer technical assurance during delivery.
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in electrical engineering within power, grid, or renewable energy projects.
- Knowledge of HV/MV systems and substations.
- Familiarity with grid studies and compliance standards (G99, P28, G5/4).
- Experience in reviewing electrical designs and ensuring technical standards.
- Strong stakeholder management and coordination capabilities.
