Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer 2 - Contractor to join our team for a 12-month engagement. In this role, you will provide engineering expertise to support project estimates, planning meetings, and modifications to equipment within the Oil and Gas industry. You will work collaboratively to ensure design integrity and compliance with safety and technical standards, conducting site surveys, and producing documentation deliverables that meet client and industry guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering input to estimates for project work scopes.
- Participate in progress and planning meetings to provide project input.
- Deliver technical expertise for equipment modifications and new equipment purchases.
- Conduct site surveys on offshore and onshore assets as required.
- Perform calculations necessary for technical evaluations and design reviews.
- Check and approve discipline documents, ensuring interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies in all work delivered.
- Produce various technical documentation and deliverables for inclusion in work packs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience in the Oil and Gas industry, particularly with electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of HV/LV switchgear, drives, and electrical equipment specifications.
- Proficiency in engineering calculations and design review processes.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards, including PFEER performance standards.
- Ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation and reports.
- Proficient in relevant engineering software and tools.
- Valid right to work as a contractor outside of IR35 regulations.
