Overview
The Electrical Supervisor (QA/QC) will oversee electrical works on a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project, ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. Working closely with site operatives, subcontractors, and project management teams, the supervisor will manage QA/QC activities, site inspections, and progress reporting to maintain high standards of workmanship and project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site activities for all electrical works on a utility-scale BESS project.
- Coordinate and oversee site operatives and subcontractors to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Manage QA/QC activities and ensure compliance with approved inspection and testing plans.
- Conduct site inspections, quality walk-downs, and non-conformance tracking.
- Prepare and review quality documentation, including test packs and handover dossiers.
- Maintain compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) standards.
- Conduct daily briefings and toolbox talks to promote safety culture on site.
- Monitor progress and workmanship to prevent rework and ensure quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor on utility-scale energy or infrastructure projects.
- Strong QA/QC experience within electrical construction environments.
- Solid understanding of electrical installation techniques, including LV/MV systems and switchgear.
- Experience in supervising multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong knowledge of HSEQ procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proactive approach to project management.
- Experience in live energy or HV environments is advantageous.
- Ability to identify and escalate risks, design clashes, and quality concerns effectively.
