Overview
The Electronic Test Automation Engineer will support the development and implementation of advanced semiconductor testing capabilities in a specialist electronics laboratory. This hybrid contract role focuses on establishing robust test methodologies for complex electronic devices, working closely with engineering teams to create efficient test strategies, and implementing automated test solutions across various electronic components.
Responsibilities
- Define test strategies for semiconductor testing.
- Develop electrical test procedures for various devices.
- Implement automated test solutions across integrated circuits and mixed-signal electronics.
- Configure and optimise test platforms in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Create reusable test architectures and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Ensure compliance with AS6171 requirements in testing processes.
- Validate electrical test procedures and acceptance criteria.
- Utilise test scripting languages for automation tasks.
Requirements
- Strong background in semiconductor testing and electronic circuit analysis.
- Experience in developing parametric and functional test methodologies for electronic components.
- Hands-on experience with PXI-based test systems and Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
- Proficiency in test scripting using LabVIEW, Python, or C/C++.
- Familiarity with boundary scan/JTAG testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of AS6171 and counterfeit component testing methodologies.
- Exposure to aerospace or defence electronics sectors is desirable.
- Experience with laboratory instrumentation such as oscilloscopes and measurement equipment.
