Overview
The Enterprise Architect will play a pivotal role in defining and governing the enterprise architecture for a rapidly growing engineering business, focusing on supporting the organization through significant digital transformation and M&A activities. Working closely with the Group IT Director and senior stakeholders, the contractor will ensure that technology investments align with the business strategy, driving the adoption of scalable and secure enterprise solutions. This is a strategic position aimed at enhancing technology standardization and integration following recent acquisitions.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the Enterprise Architecture strategy and multi-year technology roadmap.
- Establish architecture principles, standards, and governance processes.
- Lead architecture workstreams focusing on digital transformation and business change.
- Drive application modernization, platform consolidation, and technology standardization efforts.
- Conduct technology due diligence and integration planning for mergers and acquisitions.
- Develop architecture strategies for cloud, infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
- Support the adoption of AI technologies and automation solutions.
- Ensure all solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
Requirements
- Significant experience as an Enterprise Architect in a complex enterprise environment.
- Proven ability to develop enterprise architecture strategies and target-state roadmaps.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Experience in cloud, applications, integration, and security architecture.
- Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale digital transformation programs.
- Strong experience with mergers, acquisitions, and technology integration.
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture governance and Technical Design Authorities.
- TOGAF certified (or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification).
