Overview
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to provide strategic leadership in a complex technology environment, focusing on data lake and finance systems. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business leaders, delivery teams, and suppliers to align technology initiatives with organisational goals, while driving modernization and simplifying architectures. This role involves defining enterprise architecture principles and standards, overseeing key technology initiatives, and managing a small team of specialists to enhance the long-term value of technology investments.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain enterprise architecture strategy, principles, standards, and roadmaps.
- Provide architectural leadership across platforms, applications, data, cloud, and integration services.
- Establish architecture governance, including review boards and design assurance processes.
- Develop target-state architectures and reference models that align with organisational priorities.
- Guide strategic programs like finance system transformation and data platform development.
- Provide architectural direction for Microsoft-based environments, including Azure and Microsoft 365.
- Identify and mitigate architectural risks, technical debt, and duplication.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and delivery teams to integrate architecture throughout procurement and delivery.
Requirements
- Significant experience in Enterprise Architecture within complex organisations.
- Strong background in designing architectures across business systems, cloud platforms, and data environments.
- Experience working within Microsoft-centric ecosystems, including Azure and Power Platform.
- Deep understanding of integration patterns and enterprise data flows.
- Experience establishing architecture governance and assurance processes.
- Ability to communicate complex architectural concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and risk considerations in enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation and technology modernisation initiatives.
