Overview
In this contract role as an ETL / Oracle Migration Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in Oracle migration tools to facilitate the transition of data from legacy Oracle systems to Snowflake for a large regulated organization. Collaborating with a cross-functional team, you will focus on implementing ETL processes and ensuring data consistency throughout the migration project. Your role is crucial for maintaining operational integrity during this significant data transition.
Responsibilities
- Build and run ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Set up and manage change data capture with Oracle GoldenGate.
- Feed Oracle data reliably into Snowflake during migration.
- Keep legacy and target data in sync while the wider migration runs.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on experience with Oracle ODI.
- Real GoldenGate CDC experience.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Experience migrating Oracle data into a cloud warehouse, preferably Snowflake.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
- Bonus points for experience with dbt and in the financial services sector.
