Overview
This contract role is focused on migrating data from legacy Oracle systems to Snowflake, specifically for a large regulated organisation. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in Oracle migration tools, particularly GoldenGate and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), to ensure a seamless and reliable data transition while maintaining the integrity of legacy systems. Collaboration with various teams within the client organization will be essential during this process.
Responsibilities
- Build and run ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Set up and manage change data capture with Oracle GoldenGate.
- Ensure reliable data feeding from Oracle to Snowflake during migration.
- Maintain synchronization between legacy and target systems throughout the migration.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on experience with Oracle ODI.
- Proven experience with change data capture using Oracle GoldenGate.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Experience migrating Oracle data into a cloud data warehouse, preferably Snowflake.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
- Bonus points for experience with dbt and in the financial services sector.
