Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled ETL / Oracle Migration Engineer on a contract basis to oversee the transition of data from legacy Oracle systems to Snowflake for a large regulated organization. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Oracle migration tooling, specifically GoldenGate and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), to ensure a smooth migration process that keeps legacy and target systems synchronized.
Responsibilities
- Build and run ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Set up and manage change data capture with Oracle GoldenGate.
- Migrate Oracle data reliably into Snowflake.
- Maintain synchronization between legacy systems and the target during the migration.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools, such as GitHub Copilot, as part of daily workflow.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Proven experience with Oracle GoldenGate for change data capture.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Experience migrating Oracle data into cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
- Bonus: experience with dbt and in financial services.
