Overview
As an ETL / Oracle Migration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in migrating data from legacy Oracle systems to Snowflake, working within a large regulated organization. This position requires extensive expertise with Oracle migration tooling, specifically Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Oracle GoldenGate, and entails close collaboration with teams to ensure effective data migration and synchronization throughout the process.
Responsibilities
- Build and run ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Set up and manage change data capture with Oracle GoldenGate.
- Ensure reliable data migration from Oracle to Snowflake.
- Maintain synchronization between legacy and target systems during migration.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot in daily tasks.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on experience with Oracle ODI.
- Real experience with GoldenGate CDC.
- Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience migrating data into Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools in workflows.
- Bonus points for experience with dbt and in the financial services sector.
