Overview
This contract role requires a specialized ETL / Oracle Migration Engineer who will be responsible for migrating data from legacy Oracle systems to Snowflake for a large regulated organization. The contractor will leverage their extensive experience with Oracle migration tools, specifically GoldenGate and ODI, to ensure a smooth and efficient transition while collaborating with various teams within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Build and run ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Set up and manage change data capture with Oracle GoldenGate.
- Feed Oracle data reliably into Snowflake during migration.
- Keep legacy and target systems in sync while the wider migration runs.
Requirements
- Deep, hands-on experience with Oracle ODI.
- Real GoldenGate CDC experience.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
- Experience migrating Oracle data into a cloud data warehouse, ideally Snowflake.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
- Bonus points for experience with dbt and in financial services.
