Overview
We are seeking an experienced ETRM Business Analyst with expertise in the Power trading sector to support a commodities and energy trading firm. In this role, you will be engaged in the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to business requirements, functional specifications, and testing processes. Collaborating closely with program managers and stakeholders, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of the European power market to facilitate the successful delivery of business and technology changes.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders in the power trading space.
- Define and document functional specifications for system changes.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure alignment between business processes and technology delivery.
- Engage in unit, QA, and UAT testing to verify system functionality.
- Optimize existing systems, focusing on applications in European power trading.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
- Use Azure DevOps to map out detailed requirements for developers.
- Provide insights into the power deal lifecycle, including trade capture and risk management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the Power trading sector.
- Deep knowledge of ETRM systems and their application in energy trading.
- Familiarity with traded derivative products for ETD and OTC.
- Experience using Azure DevOps for project management and requirements mapping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Understanding of business processes related to trade capture, invoicing, and settlements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting testing processes, including UAT.
