Overview

We are looking for an experienced Event Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of a major corporate exhibition in May 2026. This role requires a hands-on approach, collaborating closely with the Project Director to manage day-to-day planning, coordination, and execution across multiple workstreams. The contractor will ensure that the event meets high standards while addressing challenges in real-time, with required European travel as part of the role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day planning and delivery across multiple workstreams including creative, logistics, and operations.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, monitoring progress and addressing risks.
  • Provide on-the-ground coordination and leadership to suppliers and internal teams to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration across teams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Support procurement processes, supplier onboarding, and contract delivery to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Oversee operational readiness and onsite execution to enhance delegate and exhibitor experiences.
  • Manage risk, issues, and change processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing large-scale commercial exhibitions or corporate events with 300 exhibitors and over 12,000 delegates.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the event lifecycle from planning to onsite execution.
  • Strong project management skills in scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
  • Hands-on leadership style with problem-solving capabilities during execution.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills with a proactive mindset.
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel within Europe as required during the project.
