Overview
The Contract Fabric Data Engineer will be responsible for leading the development of a new data solution using Microsoft Fabric, primarily working in a remote setting but with occasional travel to Leeds. This role involves designing and implementing a data platform while collaborating with third-party data sources and ensuring regulatory compliance. The engineer will also act as the primary contact for project updates and insights, making a significant impact in a greenfield environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build a new data platform using Microsoft Fabric.
- Own the end-to-end data model and architecture.
- Collaborate with third-party data sources to integrate data solutions.
- Deliver a value-for-money framework in line with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate project progress and insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Work autonomously while managing project delivery timelines.
Requirements
- Strong experience with SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric is essential.
- Proven ability to build data solutions from scratch.
- Comfortable working autonomously and owning delivery.
- Clear communicator capable of articulating technical progress simply.
- Bonus: Experience in pensions or financial services.
- Exposure to regulatory or compliance-driven projects.
