Overview
The Finance Transformation Consultant will support the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance as part of a comprehensive finance transformation initiative. This hybrid role involves close collaboration with finance stakeholders, project teams, and third-party partners to facilitate the adoption of new finance processes and systems while leveraging insights from prior transformation programs. Ultimately, the consultant will help drive meaningful business change within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance across the organisation.
- Collaborate with finance teams, project stakeholders, and third-party implementation partners throughout the programme lifecycle.
- Assist in reviewing, mapping, and enhancing finance processes including Purchase-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R).
- Facilitate workshops and gather business requirements from finance and operational stakeholders.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT), issue resolution, and deployment activities.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Deliver training and support to end users during implementation and post go-live activities.
- Act as a key liaison between finance users, project teams, and implementation partners.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting an ERP implementation or finance transformation programme.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance or a comparable ERP platform.
- Strong understanding of core finance processes including P2P, O2C, R2R, and financial reporting.
- Experience in process improvement, systems adoption, or business change initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, working across finance, operations, and project teams.
- Solid communication skills to translate business requirements into actionable solutions.
- Proficient in Excel and financial systems.
- Finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA) or equivalent finance background is desirable.
