Overview
We are looking for an experienced Finance Transformation Consultant to join a Higher Education client's large-scale organisational transformation programme. In this role, the contractor will redesign finance processes and operating structures, focusing on embedding finance practices within a new Target Operating Model (TOM) while collaborating closely with senior finance stakeholders. This position demands proactive engagement and ownership in driving process-led change within the finance function.
Responsibilities
- Lead the redesign of finance processes and structures within the Target Operating Model.
- Collaborate with senior finance stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in.
- Design and implement end-to-end finance processes, focusing on areas such as P2P, O2C, and R2R.
- Drive financial governance, controls, and efficiency improvements across the institution.
- Manage the transition from the 'as-is' phase to detailed 'to-be' design.
- Engage with the finance team to ensure successful adoption of new processes.
- Support hands-on delivery of key transformation milestones.
Requirements
- Proven experience in finance transformation within complex organisations, preferably in Higher Education or the public sector.
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing finance Target Operating Models.
- In-depth knowledge of core finance processes including P2P, O2C, and R2R.
- Demonstrated excellent stakeholder engagement skills, up to the CFO level.
- Ability to work onsite in London as required.
- Relevant accountancy qualification is essential.
- Availability to start within the coming weeks.
