Financial Accountant

Overview

The Financial Accountant will join a high-growth consumer brand on an interim basis for six months, focusing on process improvements and system enhancements leading up to the year-end audit. This role is designed to strengthen financial controls and improve the accuracy of financial records, with a significant emphasis on the implementation and optimization of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system. The successful candidate will collaborate with various finance teams to drive transformation initiatives and support the integration of web transactions into the existing financial framework.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive review and cleanse of the Fixed Asset Register.
• Implement and optimize the Fixed Asset module within the ERP system.
• Assist with the ongoing integration of web transactions into the ERP system.
• Investigate and resolve existing balance sheet reconciliation issues.
• Lead the setup and configuration of new legal entities within the ERP system.
• Support the implementation of the annual budget within the ERP system.
• Assist with wider finance transformation initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

• Professional qualification (ACCA / ACA / CIMA).
• Proven experience implementing or improving ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Extensive fixed asset accounting knowledge.
• Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
