Overview
We are seeking a Contract Founding Engineer to join a management consultancy that is launching a startup. This role is critical in establishing the technical foundation of the company and will involve working with a team to shape the product's development. The position entails hybrid working, requiring two days a week on-site in London, and is expected to last for three months.
Responsibilities
- Support the startup phase by providing engineering leadership.
- Develop and implement technical strategies for the product.
- Build and operate production pipelines using modern data stacks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine product features.
- Ensure high-quality code through best practices and code reviews.
- Manage the deployment and maintenance of applications in production environments.
Requirements
- Demonstrate a strong background in early-stage startups.
- Prior experience as the first engineer within a company.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Next.JS, React, and Node.js.
- Experience building and operating production pipelines.
- Familiarity with production-level LLM applications.
