Overview
We are looking for an experienced FPGA Engineer to join a dynamic technology consultancy specializing in defence and security. This role involves developing and implementing FPGA-based solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on innovative projects that span the entire product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement FPGA firmware using VHDL/Verilog with appropriate toolchains.
- Contribute to the design, testing, and documentation of FPGA-based systems.
- Support the creation of prototypes and working hardware for advanced projects.
- Apply knowledge of DSP/system modeling and communications applications as relevant.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists across various technical disciplines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in FPGA development using VHDL/Verilog.
- Proficient with FPGA toolchains, such as Vivado or Quartus.
- Strong understanding of digital systems and signal processing.
- Relevant degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with MATLAB/Simulink and embedded software (C/C++) is desirable.
- Familiarity with RADAR and communications applications is a plus.
- Experience in the defence sector is advantageous but not required.
