Overview
The Freelance Commercial Manager will play a crucial role in the infrastructure division of a fast-growing company focused on developing sustainable communities and smart infrastructure solutions across the UK. This position involves overseeing the successful delivery of a portfolio of infrastructure schemes, collaborating with a small commercial team, and contributing to both office and site-based activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage cost, value, and risk (CVRs) for various infrastructure projects.
- Oversee subcontract management and change management processes.
- Conduct monthly valuations and prepare detailed commercial reports.
- Lead a small team of commercial professionals to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance project delivery.
- Support the growth and development of the commercial function within the division.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager in civil engineering or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong background in managing costs, subcontractor relationships, and commercial reporting.
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
- Full UK driver's license required.
- Experience with main contractors highly desirable.
