Full Stack Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with expertise in Java and React to contribute to the development of customer-facing services for a high-traffic regulated organisation. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, utilizing their skills in both backend and frontend technologies to deliver reliable software products. This role focuses on building and maintaining robust services that meet the demanding needs of real users, while also embracing AI-assisted development tools.

Responsibilities

• Build backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop front-end applications in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, integrating Node.js where relevant.
• Design and implement event-driven services utilizing Kafka.
• Manage PostgreSQL databases and facilitate deployments on OpenShift.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
• Strong skills in React, Next.js, and TypeScript development.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and Kafka.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
• Comfortable with containerized deployment workflows.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot is preferred.
• Financial services experience is a bonus.
